Chris Marker worked for the publishing house Editions du Seuil in the 1950s and, among other projects, he was responsible for Seuil’s series of travel books, Petite Planète.
Series designs are tricky to do because you want something that’s distinctive, but you also need flexibility. The simple elegance of these book covers is that you really want to see them all together.
